Concert by Vlado Kreslin
lovenian singer-songwriter and folk rock musician Vlado Kreslin is coming to the stage of Hotel Jožef. Vlado Kreslin, well-known today in Beltin, entered the world of music in 1970 as a drummer in the local ensemble Apollo. For the next 10 years he performed as a singer with the bands Špirit III, Zodiac, Izvir, Horizont, Sanje and Avantura. In 1980 he won the Slovenian Pop Song Contest with the song Dan neskončnih sanj. At the end of the 1980s, he devoted himself to folk brass bands and brought about a true revival of ethno music and its perception in Slovenia. In the early 1990s, he became part of the band Mali bogovi, with whom he still works today. During this time, he has released twenty-seven albums of his own music, several collections of poetry, and has appeared in film and theatre as a composer and actor. Many of his songs are almost forgotten, and some have inspired novels, feature films and theses. He is a member of the Slovene Writers' Association.
